Welcome to Merci Chief! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Merci Chief mobile application (the "App") operated by InnovatedY ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the App.

1. Description of Service

Merci Chief is an AI-powered application that generates food recipes based on user inputs, primarily images of ingredients. It uses your selected Locality (Country and Language) to provide culturally relevant recipe suggestions.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you may be required to register for an account using your phone number. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Purchases and Payments

The App may offer virtual currency ("Credits") or subscription services for purchase.

Credits: You may purchase Credits to access premium features, such as generating more recipes.
Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the policies of the applicable platform.

4. AI Disclaimer

Use at Your Own Risk: The recipes and nutritional information generated by the App are created by Artificial Intelligence (Google Gemini). While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or nutritional value of any generated recipe.
You should always use your own judgment and common sense when cooking or consuming food based on these recipes.
We are not responsible for any adverse effects, including allergic reactions or illness, resulting from the use of recipes generated by the App.
By using the AI features, you agree to our AI Data Consent Policy, which outlines the sharing of your images and preferences with Google Gemini.

5. User Content

Our App allows you to upload content, such as images for the "AI Ingredient Recognition" feature. You retain all rights to any content you submit, post, or display on or through the App.

By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, modify, perform, display, reproduce, and distribute such content primarily for the purpose of operating and improving the App (e.g., processing the image to generate a recipe).

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App in any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the App.
Use the App to generate content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of InnovatedY and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall InnovatedY, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the App; (iii) any content obtained from the App; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
